Frequently Asked Questions

What is The Blast?

The Blast is a premium daily newsletter for the most dedicated and discerning consumers of political news in Texas. Presented in a daily digest format, The Blast features regular updates on political people and their moves as well as behind-the-scenes action from the Capitol and the campaign trail.

What makes The Blast different from other newsletters produced by The Texas Tribune?

The Blast sends original reporting from the Capitol, the campaign trail and beyond directly to your email inbox three days a week. The Blast’s combination of timing and exclusivity — its news and information can be found deep in our reporters’ notebooks, and nowhere else — is what sets it apart in the Tribune's family of newsletters.

What does The Blast cost?

$349 annually ($325 with tax-exempt status) or $40 monthly. Group rates begin at $599 for the first two subscribers, and then it's $50 for each additional subscriber after that. To sign up a group, simply email blast@texastribune.org and request an invoice.

I was a subscriber of Texas Weekly. What’s changed?

For all current Texas Weekly subscribers: Never fear, you are still subscribed! We have simply renamed Texas Weekly — it’s now “The Blast” — and re-envisioned it to make it an email-based product, not a weekly online product. The good news is you no longer need a username and password to access this great content; it will be sent directly to your inbox. Your subscription and payment information has rolled over automatically. To make changes to it, please email us at blast@texastribune.org.

I don’t see my question here. I want to contact a customer service rep.
