Democratic gubernatorial nominee Bill White has launched a minute-long television spot dubbed "Prepare for the Future," which is playing in the Dallas-Fort Worth television market.
It's briefly biographical. The son of San Antonio schoolteachers features images of his family before voicing over his vision for Texas: high wage job growth, improving job training and education, and an end to "wasting tax dollars." Note there's no mention of Republican Gov. Rick Perry, just feel-good sentiments and shots of happy children and the elderly. A score that sounds straight out of Ken Burns' The Civil War plays throughout.
