Ads Infinitum: Bill Flores is a Businessman

In the first ad of his general election campaign against U.S. Rep. Chet Edwards, D-Waco, Bill Flores evokes a familiar anti-Washington theme.

In the first ad of his general election campaign against U.S. Rep. Chet Edwards, D-Waco, Bill Flores tells us he's a "businessman, not a politician" — and that means he knows jobs come from the private sector, not Washington government programs. The ad is running on network stations in Waco and Bryan-College Station.

Here's the script:

FLORES: “Democrats in Washington think new jobs come from government programs.  But I know that they come from right here, in the private sector.”
ANNCR: “Bill Flores.  He’s a businessman, not a politician.  Bill helped build successful energy companies and created over 500 American jobs.  Now Bill Flores is running for Congress.”

FLORES: “Washington is out of control and it’s time for Texans to stand up and stop them.  I’m Bill Flores.  I approve this message and I’d be honored to have your support.”
