The American Future Fund released a new ad today attacking U.S. Rep. Chet Edwards, D-Waco, who faces Republican challenger Bill Flores, of Bryan, in November.

Among four TV ads the Iowa-based conservative advocacy group released today targeting Democrats nationwide, the spot urges voters to take the "right path" on Election Day: "against Chet Edwards." (The other ads focus on U.S. Reps. Martin Heinrich, D-N.M.; Stephanie Herseth Sandlin, D-S.D.; and Democrat Denny Heck, who's running in Washington state for retiring Democrat Brian Baird's seat.)

The ad highlights Edwards' ties to Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and his vote for President Barack Obama's stimulus package.

The conservative advocacy group is the second national group to enter the Congressional District 17 race with a TV ad against Edwards. The National Republican Congressional Committee is also running ads across the district.

This is the second ad the American Future Fund has released in CD-17. The first one, "Tricked," launched on Sept. 15. Watch it below:
