Timia Cobb
was a reporting fellow until May 2022, a first-generation college student and a senior at Texas State University. She is majoring in journalism with a concentration in media production and a minor in media studies. At Texas State, she served as News Editor at the University Star, the university’s student-run newspaper, Assistant Web Content Manager at the university’s radio station, KTSW 89.9, and worked for Texas State’s official newsroom as a digital content contributor. She has worked with many organizations in various communities, such as Mano Amiga, a social justice organization, The League of Women Voters, Texas State University’s Chapter of NAACP, San Marcos’ Dunbar Heritage Association, and more. She hopes to write and produce content that spreads awareness, is enjoyable, and informs. When she isn’t writing she is catching up on classwork, re-watching her favorite shows, Sex and the City and ABC’s Ugly Betty, reading and ordering too much Doordash.
