Adam Willis was a Washington reporting fellow for the Texas Tribune in 2019. Previously he worked as a research assistant to Politico's Peter Canellos while freelancing stories for publications like the Boston Globe, Slate, the Virginia Quarterly Review, and Politico Magazine. In the fall of 2018 he reported from the Philippines on the response of the Catholic Church to the country's war on drugs, a project supported by the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting. He is a 2017 graduate of the University of Virginia, where he studied English Literature and edited an online pop-culture publication.
