The 2022 Texas Tribune Festival is less than three months away, but to date we had announced only 60 speakers out of an expected 300. Of course they’re pretty terrific: former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton; Texas House Speaker Dade Phelan, R-Beaumont; Federal Communications Commission Chair Jessica Rosenworcel; Forward Party founder Andrew Yang; former U.S. Ambassador to NATO Kay Bailey Hutchison; U.S. Rep. Chip Roy, R-Austin; former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Julián Castro; Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar; Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker; journalists Katy Tur, Ashley Parker, Alexi McCammond and Jane Coaston; and many more.
Today we’re excited to welcome onto our program another batch of great speakers: state Sen. Carol Alvarado, D-Houston; “Frontline” executive producer Raney Aronson-Rath; state Rep. Dustin Burrows, R-Lubbock; Texas Supreme Court Justice Brett Busby; political commentator James Carville; U.S. Rep. Joaquin Castro, D-San Antonio; Austin Police Chief Joseph Chacon; U.S. Rep. Henry Cuellar, D-Laredo; U.S. Rep.
