Researchers Identify Significant Population of Overachievers
A policy brief recently published by Johns Hopkins uncovers data that suggest a large portion of K-12 students are performing above grade-level on standardized tests. But methods of identifying and serving students with high academic aptitude are as variable as the state exams that measure their achievement, and no federal guidelines exist to direct definitions of “gifted and talented.” (NPR)
