Watch Ted Cruz Defend Controversial Convention Speech to Texas Delegation

Twelve hours after being booed at the Republican National Convention for refusing to endorse GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump, U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz appeared at a tense morning meeting of Texas delegates, many of whom now viewed Cruz as a traitor.

Twelve hours after being booed at the Republican National Convention for refusing to endorse GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump, Cruz appeared at a tense morning meeting of Texas delegates, many of whom now viewed Cruz as a traitor.

Despite those in attendance who argued he missed an opportunity to unify a fractured party by endorsing Trump, Cruz said he refused to be a "servile puppy dog" by effectively praising Trump "for maligning my wife and maligning my father. "
