Kansas Conservatives Call Public Education “Government Schools”
Tapping a commonly used political tactic, conservative politicians and pundits in Kansas have been using the phrase “government schools” to describe publicly funded elementary, middle and high schools across the state. Linguistic experts note that similar strategies are not new to politics and that the Republican Party has been more adroit at framing issues with strategic word choice than Democrats.
