Book Says Schools Should Better Support LGBTQ Students
While many schools are reaching out to their lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer students, author Michael Sadowski says ensuring the safety of these students is “a critical baseline” and that teachers and administrators must affirm and empower them as well. Sadowski, an adolescent identity development expert, interviewed numerous educators for his new book, “Safe Is Not Enough: Better Schools for LGBTQ Students.” (NPR)
