Mississippi Schools Look to Save Energy

Mississippi’s Yazoo County School District has entered into an energy savings performance contract with a global energy company that guarantees energy upgrades to schools will decrease cripplingly high maintenance costs.

Mississippi’s Yazoo County School District has entered into an energy savings performance contract with Schneider Electric, a global energy company that has guaranteed that energy upgrades to schools will decrease cripplingly high maintenance costs. Backed by the U.S. Department of Energy, the partnership is projected to result in $2.5 million in savings over 20 years. (The Hechinger Report)
