U.S. Secretary of Education John B. King Jr. recently stopped by Clifton Early Learner Academy in New Jersey to highlight a new report from his department that outlines a significant wage gap between preschool and K-12 teachers across the country. While the national average salary for preschool teachers is $28,570, kindergarten teachers earn $51,640 and elementary school teachers can expect an average of $54,890 per year. (NJ.com)
