In Kentucky, Career-Ready May Not Mean College-Bound
Spurred by economic changes, Kentucky has been forced to reevaluate how it is preparing young people for the workforce. Rather than tallying passing scores on standardized college entrance exams like the ACT and SAT, Kentucky schools divide students into three achievement groups: those who choose to pass requirements for college entry, industry-specific jobs or both.
