FDA Panel Approves New Liver Drug
An FDA panel has recommended approval of a new drug aimed at treating a rare liver condition, the latest in a burgeoning field of liver-disease treatments. The liver disease, primary biliary cirrhosis, destroys bile ducts in the liver and can lead to patients requiring liver transplants. (The Wall Street Journal)
