California Court Hearing Appeal About Teacher Tenure
An appeals court in California will rule on a 2014 California Superior Court ruling that struck down the tenure and seniority system for public school teachers. The previous ruling said that the protections on teachers' jobs infringed upon students' rights to a quality public education, as those protections were awarded too quickly and without sufficient oversight for teachers whose performance was lagging.
