To many observers, the most contentious debate of the 2016 Republican presidential campaign was held Thursday night in Houston. And front-runner Donald Trump was on the receiving end of most of the evening’s biting attacks. With just a few days left until Super Tuesday — when voters in 11 states, including Texas, will cast Republican presidential ballots — none of the leading candidates were pulling any punches.
