Proponent of Charter Schools Criticizes Online Alternatives
The Walton Family Foundation, a charitable arm of Wal-Mart, has released another public criticism of cyber charter schools. The foundation, which commissioned three studies that ultimately proved online-only charter schools are wholly inadequate, simultaneously pledged to spend more than $1 billion — on top of an initial billion already promised — to fund the expansion of brick-and-mortar charter operations.
