President’s Budget Includes Computer Science Funding for All
President Barack Obama is pushing an initiative called “Computer Science for All,” a $4 billion program meant to ensure all students — especially girls and minorities — have access to and are skilled at using computer technology. Currently, only a quarter of all K-12 schools offer computer science classes, and fewer than 15 percent of all high schools offer Advanced Placement courses in computer science. (CNET)
