Group Aims to Collect Abandoned Fishing Line
The Texas Stream Team is calling on Texans to join its Monofilament Finders project to collect abandoned fishing line in or along the state's waterways. The Stream Team, which is part of the The Meadows Center for Water and the Environment at Texas State University, points out that monofilament fishing line is a persistent form of pollution, endangering birds, fish and wildlife, that "everyone can help battle against."
