Advocacy Group Calls Out Google for Student Privacy Violations
A nonprofit advocacy group has filed a federal complaint claiming that Google has violated a "Student Privacy Pledge" that protects student information. The Electronic Frontier Foundation filed the complaint with the Federal Trade Commission, alleging that Google is violating a previous agreement to require student and parent permission to collect user data. The complaint is meant to spearhead a campaign for a more robust student privacy law. (NPR)
