Decline in Prostate Cancer Screening and Early Diagnoses
Two new studies find that fewer men are being screened for prostate cancer and fewer cancers are being diagnosed at an early stage. The findings do not mean that there are less cases of prostate cancer, rather they suggest that prostate cancer is detected less often because of reduced screening. (The New York Times)
