Florida Superintendents Rally Against State Test
Protests against the adoption of Common Core tests pushed Florida lawmakers to create a last-minute fix – swapping out the tests. Little did they know, the change would bring even more backlash from educators and teaching associations. All 67 of the state’s superintendents are leading a campaign against this year’s scores. According to school officials, judging student, teacher, and school performance with such a flawed measurement would be tantamount to a breach of justice. (The New York Times)
