A new book by researchers at the Meadows Center for Water and the Environment, Texas Riparian Areas, looks at and summarizes characteristics of Texas’ riparian areas — “transitional zones” that link bodies of water. The book, which stemmed from a Texas Water Development Board report, explains that water flow is essential to controlling Texas’s water resources. (Texas A&M University Press)
