Mississippi Education Agency Requests More Funding
Mississippi’s three major education entities have petitioned the state legislature for a total $732.7 million budget increase for the next fiscal year. At least $250 million of that total would be directed toward K-12 funding, though it would far from supplement its current budget, the money would largely be used to fund the Mississippi Adequate Education Program, or MAEP.
