More Sports Concussions in Schools Than What's Reported
Dallas-area middle and high school students experienced 2,500 concussions last year, more than the number reflected in records kept by the University Interscholastic League. A media investigation revealed the UIL only collects concussion reports from a handful of high school football teams across the state. Some reforms have been made in youth sports in recent years but experts say better data collection would help pinpoint problems. (NBC DFW)
