States Adopt Student Data Protections
Forty-six states have introduced varied legislation this year to protect students’ personal data from unauthorized or predatory collectors. While schools and districts expand the type and amount of student data they collect, online learning tools are also gathering data unique to student users posing threats to child safety, including predatory marketing and identity theft.
