Oncologists Call for Price Regulation on Cancer Drugs
In an editorial published in the Mayo Clinic’s medical journal, more than 100 oncologists from the nation’s top cancer hospitals raised concerns over increasingly high cancer drug prices and asked regulators to address the issue. While drug makers say the increased prices go toward recouping costs and future research, the doctors said patients often can't afford to take the drugs adequately or spend all of their money on buying the drugs.
