It goes without saying that we're proud of the Trib's video production team, and of the great work our videographers and editors produce. But a little positive reinforcement never hurt anyone, which is why we're thrilled to report that we've won three national honors in this year's Edward R. Murrow Awards competition — an all-time high for us.
The Radio Television Digital News Association has recognized the Trib in the following categories:
* Best investigative video, for our Hurting for Work project on the plight of injured workers in Texas.
* Best use of video, for our Shale Life series on the communities affected by the state's oil and gas boom.
* Best website for video, for our overall digital video strategy at texastribune.org.
These aren't our first national Murrows; we won two in 2014, one in 2012 and two in 2011. And we've been grateful to be honored at the regional level many times over the last five years. But this year's recognition gives us something extra to celebrate.
