Texas Hospital Association’s Board Chairman Elected

The president and chief executive officer of St. David’s HealthCare, David Huffstutler, has been elected chairman of Texas Hospital Association’s Board of Trustees.

The Austin-based association is a leadership organization and advocate for Texas’ 452 non-federal health care systems and hospitals. It was established in 1930.

Huffstutler’s term began at the start of the year. He has been on the board since 2010.

“From the beginning of my career, I have been substantially involved in THA and have understood its importance to the health care industry and the state as the only organization to bring together all elements to achieve consensus for the good of patients, doctors and communities,” Huffstutler said. “It is an honor and a privilege to serve as chairman.”
