New Device Helps Measure Parkinson’s Disease Progression
A new device that measures movement and balance can aid in detecting the progression of Parkinson’s cases, even when a patient is on medication for the disease. Researchers found that a portable set of sensors can help doctors gauge the severity of the neurological disorder, even while patients are taking medications to control trembling and other symptoms. The findings appear in the Journal of the Neurological Sciences. (News Medical)
