We’re pleased to announce two new members of The Texas Tribune’s news apps team.
Annie Daniel, who started this week, is a recent University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill journalism and political science grad who specializes in interactive multimedia and data visualizations. She spent this summer at The Washington Post, developing and designing news graphics for web and print.
Jolie McCullough, who joins us in January, is a hybrid reporter-web designer-developer who specializes in data-driven projects. She's spent the last four years at the Albuquerque Journal, where she managed the paper’s web design and digital product development, in addition to building data interactives and news apps. A graduate of Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, she's interned as a reporter and online producer at the Arizona Republic.
With these extra sets of hands, the new apps team will be able to build and maintain more database explorers, prepare more interactive graphics to accompany stories and create more of the investigative features for which the Trib is becoming known.
We're so happy to have Annie and Jolie join us!
