With state government agencies reorganizing in the wake of the recent midterm elections, rumors are swirling about who could potentially replace Michael Williams, the state education commissioner under Gov. Rick Perry. Duncan Klussman, the Spring Branch ISD superintendent and an architect of last year’s education-focused House Bill 5, is one name that has arisen, although he has remained silent on the possibility of moving to a higher office in Austin.
