A Water Forum panel met Friday in San Antonio to discuss water issues with a focus on the $3.4 billion agreement between the San Antonio Water System (SAWS) and the Vista Ridge Cooperative to build a pipeline from Burleson County to San Antonio. Expert panelists included Andrew Sansom, executive director of the Meadows Center for Water and the Environment at Texas State University; Reed Williams, board member of SAWS; Mark Rose, CEO of Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative; Bill West, general manager of the Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority; and Karen Guz, director of water conservation for SAWS.
