Video: George P. Bush Says Father "More Than Likely" to Run in 2016
During an interview for ABC News' This Week, George P. Bush, the Republican nominee for land commissioner, said it was "more than likely" that his father, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, will make a 2016 run for the White House.
Bush added in the interview, which aired Sunday, that his family would support his father "100 percent" if he launches a bid for president.
“If you had asked me a few years back, I would've said it was less likely,” Bush said that his father would run for president.
During an appearance at the Texas Tribune Festival in September, Bush declined to say whether he would make an endorsement in the 2016 presidential race, including when he was asked about his father possibly joining the fray.
Bush's ABC interview with reporter Jonathan Karl was conducted aboard his campaign bus in College Station. Bush also answered questions about climate change and his future ambitions. Watch the video here:
