Abbott Ad: A Vote for Davis is a Vote for a "Governor Obama"
Republican gubernatorial candidate Greg Abbott's latest television ad, released Tuesday, is the second in nearly two weeks that links his Democratic opponent, Wendy Davis, and President Obama on several policy issues.
The ad comparing the two Democrats says Obama “may as well be on the ballot,” because of their similarities. The ad says that Davis supports EPA regulations "that threaten Texas jobs" and that she would expand the federal Affordable Care Act in Texas by executive order. The ad also said they both support higher taxes.
Abbott released a similar web ad on Sept. 29, which also compared Davis to Obama on those issues, along with gun control.
