Davis' Spanish Language Ad Targets Education Funding
In a Spanish language radio ad released Tuesday, Democratic gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis focuses on Republican Greg Abbott's stance on education funding.
The ad highlights Abbott’s defense of $5.4 billion cuts in public education as Attorney General, and his lack of response to Davis when asked about it at gubernatorial debate September 19.
"On behalf of the five million children of this state, would you agree tonight that you will drop your appeals and allow our schools to be appropriately funded?" Davis asked.
The ad states Republicans are working for the Hispanic vote while taking money from their children’s education, leading to teacher layoffs and overcrowded classrooms
