In her latest TV ad, Democratic gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis questions Republican Greg Abbott’s priorities on public education and contrasts their plans.

In her latest TV ad, Democratic gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis questions Republican Greg Abbott’s priorities on public education and contrasts their plans.

The ad, titled “Priorities,” shows Davis in a school hallway criticizing Abbott’s plan and discussing how she would cut costs and standardized testing.

Davis states that Abbott has pushed to cut billions in education funding, to let “bureaucrats take over” some local schools and has proposed standardized tests for pre-K students.

“I'll cut bureaucratic waste and administrative costs and reduce the number of standardized tests,” Davis says in the ad.

The ad will run across the state. Abbott released an education ad a few hours earlier Tuesday that did not mention Davis.
