Nature as Important as Nurture When it Comes to Academics
School and parental nurturing roles in academic achievement may not be as all-important as previously thought, according to a recent psychological study published by Nature Communications. Based on results from a study of 1,500 pairs of twins, researchers discovered that performance in subjects such as math and reading has as much to do with genetic makeup as outside factors.
