TWDB Announces System for Prop 6 Funding
At a House Natural Resources Committee meeting, the Texas Water Development Board told lawmakers that applications for funding by the new State Water Implementation Fund, approved by voters in 2013 as Prop 6, will be ranked using a point system based on the amount of water use and the number of users served by the project. The fund will distribute 10 percent of the money to rural projects, while at least 20 percent will be designated for conservation and reusable water projects. (The Dallas Morning News)
