Abbott's First TV Ad for General Election is in Spanish
The ad, which features testimonials from GOP gubernatorial candidate Greg Abbott's mother-in-law and sister-in-law, will run during the World Cup. On the stump, Abbott has often emphasized his wife's Hispanic identity. The candidate chooses here to make the multi-cultural character of his family explicit with a focus on his in-laws, who testify to the candidate's character. Speaking all in Spanish, they say Abbott is someone they can count on. The ad premieres on Univision during the Mexico-Brazil match.
