And then there were two.
Back in February we inaugurated Trib+, our series of free subject-specific newsletters, by launching Trib+Water, a one-stop shop for state water policy news, data, research and more. Today we're adding to our newsletter family with Trib+Edu, focused on public education.
Much like Trib+Water, which is produced in conjunction with the Meadows Center for Water and the Environment at Texas State University, Trib+Edu will be published twice a month. It curates content from both The Texas Tribune and a respected academic partner: the College of Education at the University of Texas at Austin. You can expect selected coverage from Tribune reporters, info on the career moves of key newsmakers, Q&As, book reviews, abstracts of studies and research, and notable events listings.
Our newsletters editor John Reynolds will oversee Trib+Edu along with our writing partner at the College of Education, Jason Gelt, who brings a robust journalistic background to the gig, including stints at the Los Angeles Times and the L.A. Alternative.
You can find Trib+Edu by clicking on the “newsletters” tab on our navigation bar. You can also sign up to receive it directly in your email inbox.
Our co-publication relationship with UT-Austin's College of Education is a content partnership, not a financial transaction. Separately, UT-Austin is a corporate sponsor of The Texas Tribune.
Over the coming months our newsletter family will grow even more, as we expand into other policy verticals. Stay tuned.
