TAB Picks Dewhurst, Branch and Hilderbran

The Texas Association of Business has announced its final set of primary endorsements, opting for Dewhurst, Branch and Hilderbran in three hotly contested statewide GOP primaries

The Texas Association of Business endorsed David Dewhurst for lieutenant governor, Dan Branch for attorney general and Harvey Hilderbran for comptroller in a final round of endorsements for the upcoming party primaries.

The selections come after the group this week hosted candidate forums in all three contests at its annual conference in Austin.

“This was not an easy decision to make,” said TAB President Bill Hammond. “We have worked closely with many of the candidates in these races. It isn’t all that often that we have so many friends of business seeking the same office like we do in these three races. I want to thank all of the candidates who came to speak to our annual conference and I want them to know how hard it was to make these decisions.”
