Beebe Will Challenge Straus Again

Matt Beebe will again challenge House Speaker Joe Straus for the GOP nomination in Bexar County-based HD-121.
In a statement issued Monday afternoon, Beebe promised to run, like last time, as a conservative alternative to Straus. “Joe Straus does not hold the conservative values of District 121," Beebe said. "I will spend the next 90 days talking to voters across District 121 about critical issues facing Texas.”
Beebe garnered 37 percent of the vote in the GOP primary two years ago.
