Former Insurance Commissioner Kitzman Finds New Job
Former Texas Insurance Commissioner Eleanor Kitzman has landed a new job with Starr Insurance Holdings. According to a Reuters story, she will be that firm's new vice president with "broad regulatory, management and operational responsibilities across the company’s domestic and international businesses."
Kitzman was appointed to the post of insurance commissioner by Gov. Rick Perry in the summer of 2011, but she left office earlier this year after the Senate never acted to confirm her. She previously served as executive director of South Carolina's Budget & Control Board and before that led the South Carolina's insurance department.
