Compared with many other immigrant populations in Texas, the Russian community is small, and the state’s size makes it difficult for Russian immigrants to keep close ties to their heritage. But within the major metropolitan areas, Russian immigrants are focused on coming together and determined to preserve their language and cultural ties to their homeland.
