Gov. Rick Perry, who jumped into the presidential race in August and shot to the front of the crowded field, is dropping out of the race today. Perry stumbled badly out of the gate and has since been unable to gain momentum, polling in the single digits in South Carolina, the state where he hoped to make a strong showing. At a 10 a.m. (CST) press conference in North Charleston, S.C., the Texas governor is expected to end his White House bid. Live feed courtesy MSNBC.
