In his fledgling campaign for U.S. Senate, Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst is leap-frogging his Texan opponents to take aim at President Barack Obama. On Wednesday morning, he released a new campaign ad that attacked the president's leadership and capitalized on the public's growing dissatisfaction with dismal job growth politics in the nation's capital.
The first half of the 54-second spot begins by showing a series of videos that highlight the president's perceived failures, complete with somber music and black and white video. In the final 24 seconds, viewers are introduced to Dewhurst through a series of colorful photos and videos the campaign claims "highlight the positive response to David Dewhurst's campaign for U.S. Senate."
