Paul Ad: Perry was Gore's "Texas Cheerleader"
In a new ad that Politico says his campaign wants to air during Wednesday night's GOP debate, U.S. Rep. Ron Paul, R-Surfside, contrasts his support of Ronald Reagan's bid for the presidency in 1980 to Gov. Rick Perry's backing of Al Gore's White House run in 1988. Paul calls Perry a "Texas cheerleader" who worked to help Gore "undo the Reagan revolution."
