One of the most emotional and controversial issues of the legislative session centered around the so-called sanctuary cities bill, SB 9. Senate Democrats managed to block the bill during the regular session. Now, it has found a new life in the special session, where it has already passed the Senate and is expected to sail through the House. Behind the scenes, some question whether the Democrats are now reaping what they sowed when one of their members pushed the Legislature into overtime.
